Akwaaba, Karibuni…Welcome to the website of African Network of SW Florida (ANSWFL). My name is Dr. Peter Ndiang’ui. I am humbled and honored to serve as president of this amazing organization. In that regard, it is my pleasurable duty to welcome you with open arms. We are honored to have you as our guest. We encourage you to learn as much as possible about our networking organization and the ethos that we stand for.
In the leadership team, we have a very dynamic and diverse board of directors whose membership is from all corners of the African Continent and beyond. We are committed to ensuring that ANSWFL is a vibrant organization that facilitates the networking of its members to the fullest. We embrace our diversity and cherish our differences. Above all, we are reminded that we have more similarities than differences and we are all valued members of the human family regardless of our nationality, ethnicity, race, religion, socioeconomic status, gender, age or any other diversity component. In spite of our differences, we enjoy working together and strive to genuinely support businesses, philanthropic projects and other ventures initiated by our members. On a daily basis, we aspire to create a climate conducive to looking out for each other. We encourage, build and lift one another. We enjoy sharing the little we might be having at any one time. Above all, we share the love of one another, our mother Africa and our new home in SW Florida. As per the teaching of our very own African Philosophy Ubuntu; “I am, because you are”. Together, we look for the Africa in each one of us. And we let the drum of hope continue beating in our hearts regardless of the circumstance we find ourselves in.
